@kulas_kitchen: UPSIDE DOWN CHERRY BROWN BUTTER CORNMEAL CAKE!!! 🍒✨🌽 it’s making me SO happy seeing so many of you make my peach cornmeal upside down cake so I figured it was time for a new version. and y’all…not to play favourites bc I love all my children but this one might be….even better than the original 🫢 juicy summer cherries + brown butter caramel at the bottom and a deliciously dense + moist brown butter corn cake baked on top (inspired by the iconic cake from radio bakery)!!! the corn cake gets this crispy golden brown crust and it’s actually perfection. one bowl, no mixer, absolutely gorgeous — dare I say cake of the summer?! you’ll need: • cherries • brown sugar • white sugar • butter • eggs • milk of choice • cornmeal • flour (all purpose or gluten free baking flour) • baking powder • sea salt full recipe (with additional notes to address the issues a few of you had with the original version) on my sub stack now❣️ENJOYYYY!
