@gardening.with.ish: Instantly create your beds and borders with the No Dig Method! By using some scrap cardboard and compost over existing land it’ll gently break down and give your plants a great kickstart, without digging! The cardboard can go over weeds and grass and it will help them rot down underneath, working as a feed for your plants. My gardening tips for beginner gardeners will show you how to easily create beds and borders without the hassle of digging #gardeningtips #gardeningforbeginners #flowerbed #nodiggarden #gardeningideas #planttips #planting

I love this! My Dad was a professional gardener and always complained about herbaceous borders being a lot of work. If only he had known about this!

Wet cardboard is better, that’s the usual no dig method. Tho I don’t suppose it makes much difference in the long run

Love this idea! The soil in my garden is so difficult to break through and I’m wrecked even digging small hole so will def do this! Do I need to put topsoil on top of compost?

I used this technique this spring to broadcast mixed flowers to chaos garden a border bed! So easy! 90% of it has done superbly well- but there's a couple of lengths that the growth is sparse, stunted or yellowing. I wonder if it's some difference in the cardboard. Any thoughts?
