My mother would let it slide so would my older sister… Me the youngest at 9yr would go toe to toe with my father into screaming matches and I ate him up. All together were a lot more of a family but back then it was hell. Forever have my sister back because no way he treat her like that. My mother is an adult, gave her a reality check.. she told us “to stop bitchin an moaning” told her the same shit back since she would vent to me. Like the medicine doesn’t taste so sweet does it. Plus they were both alcoholics growing up. I took no one shit, because it very much changed how I approach the world and my view. But in a much more positive way now since I know I can make it. I can do better than them and if ever to have a child. They are the prime example of what I WILL NEVER BE.
