It’s not easy to open up on here however I feel it’s a good thing to show everyone they are not alone. The visual aspect of some lives may seem they have it all. The perfect home, family, furniture, cars, lawn, etc. This was us in 2021-2022. And it was a grind to make it to this point in all the years past. We lived in what we thought would be our forever home. We built the home, picked our floor plan and ended up next to the best neighbors with kids Bentley had made friends with and not even a football field length away from the elementary school we got to walk him to every day and Jamie being able to be a STAHM. What we never talked about is what was happening in our lives in 2023. The outlook on our lives from others never changed and seemed we were living our lives to the fullest however that isn’t what was really happening. Jobs changed for reason that I couldn’t control with employees leaving and causing a force at hand. We were rapidly getting into more debt every month wondering how long I could last. Being the best father and husband I could be I did all I could to stay strong and continue giving my family the life we had built and let them continue to be here. However with added weight on my shoulders it became more difficult to not stress which started to be brought back to the house and bringing the conversation to my wife of needing to sale the home. We discussed renting out a portion of the home, or even moving and renting out the home until we could make it back to where we were. We discussed it all. The only possibility was to sale the home at the point we were at. Every time I thought we would have a breakthrough and get a good paycheck we would get hit with an unexpected bill higher than what I made and taking everything from us once again. I was barely making it by with credit cards, extra money from renting out vehicles, uber on the side, sales and Tiktok Live at this time. No matter what we did or tried to do to keep this home and life it seemed we got thrown more at us beating us down and forcing us to make the decision to post the home for sale. The sale of the home and the funds coming through was at an exact moment I don’t know what we would have possibly done without them. It would have been potential end game however no matter how dark it got, no matter the situation at hand I told my self to keep going and keep working because I knew there would be a day we could look back at the years and say we made it past this. We decided to move out of state and start from the ground up again. We used all of our equity to pay off HELOC Loans, Solar, Credit Card Debt and have some money down for an apartment and money to move. On top of how difficult this was for us alone, Bentley did not make it easer. He was confused, sad and did not understand why we were leaving things like his trampoline with people who were now living in our home. He did not understand why we were leaving his friends and school and hometown. This broke us. We had to continue pushing forward and re built to get back to where we once were. We chose to move to Wilmington, NC and live by a beach with a new environment to make the going backwards in life a little better instead of going back to an apartment next to our previously built home. Wilmington gave us a new fresh start we had now absolutely no furniture except the mattress that we slept on and a few chairs. During this time from the sale of the home to the move to North Carolina I was growing on social media and this all gave me the opportunity to give it a chance at being fulltime. Which has now changed our lives completely. They even helped surprise Bentley with a Disney trip shortly after the move for his birthday. A score doesn’t represent where you are in life, however ours showed a lot and it feels good to be back where we are now. Like I almost did, please don’t give up. Always keep fighting as there is a reason and you won’t know unless you keep going. You got this 🤍
