I own a duct cleaning company. While this is very important to do it’s the exhaust vent going outside that has to be cleaned at least once a year.

I bought the dryer vent cleaner on TikTok that cleans all the vents and we had two black garbage bags full of lint. Absolutely frightening!!

I love my whirlpool dryer because I can open up the main part of my dryer from the front by just pushing down a couple clips. I can clean my dryer so easily. it really eases my anxiety about the possibility of a fire 😅

You should take the front panel off and see what all is under the tub! We had to replace our belt and I was mortified!!! The lint and missing socks we found was scary!!!!!!!

You have to clean the vent that leads to the outside as well! Since we cleaned that I’ve gotten very little lint in the trap!

hiii so you are correct about the importance of clearing out the lint but this method is not going to be very effective 😭 the heating element is usually set back some and you really need to take the back panel off to vacuum it properly. also, I think most fires happen due to clogging in the exhaust vent (the space tube lookin thing that comes out the back), which this method won't reach. its definitely good to do this for quick routine maintenance but please make sure you're doing the whole shebang periodically as well! ❤️
