@melinavarteresian: I know this isn’t my normal content but I am posting this so maybe someone on here can help … the pain is in my lower left abdomen. My functional medicine doctor thinks it’s dysbiosis/SIBO but she also doesn’t think it should be causing THIS much pain. Part of my life I briefly share on here….one thing i will say is: if you have your health there is nothing that matters more in this world. When you go through something like this and are in pain 24/7 all the small issues in life disappear and you realize what truly matters. Advocate for yourself and don’t stop until you get answers. I had to push for so many tests and ask the doctors to test me for specific things I did my OWN research on. I felt/feel so alone and hopeless and people telling me I’m fine. Thank god I am working with a functional medicine doctor to find answers. No one knows your body more than you do. If you think something is wrong and they are telling you, you are fine, don’t listen to them and find a doctor who will find the solution !! It has been mentally, physically and the most draining year of my life. Stay strong and keep going if you are dealing with health issues. Thanks for reading ❤️

I’m not a doctor at all, but do you notice that it becomes worse during your period? It could be endometriosis, it’s very common and extremely painful, a lot of times it’s misdiagnosed as being a stomach problem.

Figuring out stomach issues takes FOREVER. I’ve dealt with horrible pain for almost two years and just finally got answers and had to get surgery for my gallbladder.

What was that thing that Miranda and Meredith diagnosed for this girl that had horrific stomach pains and could never get diagnosed? It had something to with a nerve or something?

I had the same issue. I finally got diagnosed with functional dyspepsia. It basically mimics ulcers. I take a medication to numb my stomach nerves and it helps alot

Ask about MALS .. super rare but I had the same issues for years on end until I was diagnosed. Surgery fixed it !

ask the pain clinic for an opinion! they diagnosed me with centrally mediated abdominal pain syndrome! he also first gave me a diagnosis of visceral hyperalgesia, and put me on gabapentin. if you havent tried gabapentin to see if its gi or nerve related i would definitely at least start there💗

I have pain in my lower left side. So severe sometimes that I have been to the ER. My only diagnosis is endometriosis and SIBO. They say I have constipation in scans even after having diarrhea. The left side pain and nausea are unbearable

Vascular compressions. If you’ve had a ct with contrast you can ask them to go back and check your angles

have them do a gastric emptying scan. it checks for gastroparesis (stomach not emptying like it should). i got diagnosed with that after 2 years of pain, and then last year i got diagnosed with MALS (median arcuate ligament syndrome). where you basically have blood flow cut off to your digestive organs. both can cause extreme abdominal pain

Did you get your gall bladder out by chance? Took the Dr 10 years to figure out why I was in worse pain after mine got removed.

I am sorry that you are going through this. Ok this is going to be a serious TMI question. Is the color of your stool really light, or normal?

I had a blockage in my ureter tube (the tube that connects your kidney to your bladder) from two veins cutting off the circulation, it took so many tests to find it and I was in so much pain

I have mals and it took forever to be diagnosed. I went to hundreds of ductot until I had enough and I had to ask for a consultation out of state to get a mesmeric Doppler ultrasound and Mra done. Good luck!
