If youre wearing your scrubs outside the hospital, you might as well wear jeans and a t-shirt into the OR. Legit staff change into clean scrubs before going into the OR. It’s about not bringing the outside into a sterile environment.

You should change into scrubs once you get to the hospital. Wearing them in your home, your car, pumping gas, or at other hospitals, brings in bacteria that could affect the vulnerable surgical patients.

We are not allowed to wear outside scrubs into the OR or leave the building in them, we have to change at the hospital.

You’re about to buy your Austin, TX hospital a visit from the Joint Commission. Street clothes (ie. scrubs from home) may not be worn into a sterile operating environment, regardless of what role you play in a surgical procedure. I can near 100% guarantee regulatory agencies are monitoring social media posts for infractions.

Please tell me you’re not wearing your scrubs from home and then walking into a sterile OR. CHANGE AT THE HOSPITAL in hospital laundered and issued attire and for the love take off your necklace. Infection prevention my friend.

I guess people don’t understand that people wear their personal scrubs outside of the hospital and hospital provided scrubs in the OR.

But, visiting the office? ( reps used to visit the office in professional attire, ie, suits, tie, slacks, nice shirt ). I understand being in the OR, but the office? It gives ick vibes. ( almost like stolen valor ).

I talked to an old time rep once. He told me he’s done 100’s of installs of his parts while in the OR Cause he knew more than the docs. Seemed weird.
