At the very beginning of VPD the cemetery with the dog and the crow… the crow popping up right before Damon shows up etc. it’s like they were going in a certain way with that and just decided not to pursue it shortly into it.

When Paul was at one of these conventions he said that Lexi was just suppose to be a one off character. The crew didn’t expect the audience to gravitate to her so I’m guessing they gave her more scenes thru out the show to please the fans and they just made stuff up, but it didn’t reflect her first episode tho

Unpopular opinion; she offered it to test him…YES, she wasn’t for the animal blood diet life, and YES SHE could consume in a way that sustained her. it's always been my theory that the reason Stefan is a Ripper is because he was connected to Silas and it wasn't his own bloodlist but Silas' that he felt and that's why he was unable to control it. it became easier for Stefan to control it after Silas died just saying.😏

That’s exactly what she did, she drove a wedge between them when they were ready to come together. I would have liked to have seen more of Damon helping Stefan control his impulses. I don’t like Stefan as a character but his dynamic with Damon was actually something I did want more of. It was exactly like you said, Lexi wasn’t helping, her method didn’t actually solve the problem, it pushed back whatever unhinged bender he was going to go end up going on.

Not saying I don’t like Lexi but I hate how she’s only written to “fix”/“save” Stefan and co-sign his love for Elena. I wanted to see more of their friendship but the only thing that had any depth between them was her helping Stefan get back on the wagon

if I remember correctly, they started getting him used to human blood at some point by essentially micro dosing him at first and increasing the amount of human blood he got as he got himself under control.
