I know it may sound harsh to some people but whenever my kids need help with something, I tell them to figure it out. They get so excited when they finally do figure it out. I never like taking an obstacle away from my kids unless it’s life-threatening then of course I’ll step in.

Yes! My husband grew up with “suck it up, tough love” mentality so whenever our daughter is crying or struggling, I have to remind him that she still doesn’t know how to do things. Mind you, my daughter is 6 but she is still learning!
