Something I find interesting in the stories of modern heroes is how they are often first depicted as physically unremarkable, yet anchored in moral clarity (i.e. Captain America, SpiderMan). Their strength only comes after their values are established, almost as a reward for who they already are.
This runs contrary to many older depictions of heroes (i.e. Achilles, Sampson, Hercules) who get their strength at/near birth. Curious to hear your thoughts on the two portrayals and how it reflects the societies they were born from.

Better to be a warrior in a garden then a gardener in a war brother, the strongest civilizations are built upon the backs of scholar warriors 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth. “If you be the son of man, take yourself down”. I was taught at a young age to pray this before bed “Gentle Jesus, meek and mild, look upon a little child, pity my simplicity, suffer me to come to thee, Amen” we are taught its weak to be meek. Meek - humbly patient or quiet in nature, as under provocation from others. Provocation - action or speech that makes someone annoyed or angry, especially deliberately. They ragebaited God on the cross and he said “Father forgive them for they do not know what they do” interceding on their behalf. He wasn’t the conquering King they pictured so they didnt accept him. Yet he conquered death hell and the grave nonetheless.

Destruction is how the weak and uncreative create they cannot create or do anything on their own so they must push things towards their natural tendency which is chaos the strong form order from chaos the weak do the opposite the strong can form things to their will but for the weak to enforce their will upon the world they only need pull at the fraying ends of the declining society

I think it comes from a conflict in what people consider a hero. I think a hero is anyone who wants to help people. I don’t always think they need strength in order to do that.
