@bristexastails: Update: Safe with @#ThisisHouston ❤️—— This sweet girl isn’t available for adoption to the public, she’ll be going to a rescue only. But I already know that once she’s in a safe foster home with the right support, she’s going to completely transform. I just wanted to share this moment to show how things can really look inside a shelter. I often hear people say things like, “That dog didn’t even pay attention to me” or “We didn’t connect.” But shelter dogs are under extreme stress. They may be shut down, scared, or just trying to survive. Connection takes time. Sometimes it’s instant but more often, it’s something you build. Please don’t write off a dog just because the spark didn’t happen on day one. With patience, so many of them open up in the most beautiful ways. 🧡 #shelterdog #rescuedog #animalrescue #volunteer #fosteringsaveslives #houston
