got caught out on a logic last month , turned off water inlet to change cartridge , it blew out with water everywhere .... hot and colds were reversed 😂😂😂

Had to replace a flow switch on a potterton, this was in 3 floor apartment. Forgot to put the bracket screws in and filled it up, baring in mind it was a big system, as I’ve put my head down, bang water gushing out and it went everywhere!!! Downstairs, pcb, you name it, it went there, proper bad one this looks like a breeze through the park 😂😂

I worked for a boiler manufacturer and isolated it on a new build. Undone the flow turbine and it blew off, reversed connections 😳 lucky the hadn’t done the flooring yet 😂

Turn off water and run integral fill loop to see if it pressurises the boiler. Never know who has been doing abit of plumbing diy.

happened me on a hose on vessel on a intergas before it spilt on me 32kw massive heat exchanger water everywhere.the board survived tho.was the board ok on that?.

when changing the flow turbine it's best to open hot taps mandatory because you know for certain someone will use the toilet then try to wash their hands with hot , soon as you whip the old one out.

Had this once, isolated the water from under the boiler opened a tap to make sure it was off. loosened cartridge and found out it had been piped up wrong way round🤷🏼♂️happens

Few week ago was replacing an ideal imini 12 years hot and cold was reversed. No stop tap indoors and shared mains. 🙄

I did it on a caravan commissioning. Hot water fault on install. Built in the factory and the hot and colds were the wrong way. I turned it off under the boiler and removed the turbine and flooded the hallway luckily the wet vac sorted it quick enough. Worst thing with caravans is the stopcock was barely accessible without crawling! Replumbed it, removed the PCB and dried it off and boiler worked a treat! The factory also fitted an NG boiler for a Propane set up and got all the G30 injectors wrong in the hob.
