Definitely ask your injector to adjust the dose/frequency! I was told about this side effect early on and how a smaller dose/having it less frequently can help with this. I’ve now been having it for over 5 years with no sagging!

the same thing happened to me! only got it 1.5 times tho do u know if the jowls go back to normal when the muscle grows back after it wears off?

I had extremely big and strong master muscles, and started getting Botox to help with the pain and my migraines. And if I’m being honest I am truly couldn’t be more grateful for it, but I also understand where you are coming from..also love that every time I get it done my nurse asks if i maybe don’t want it there this time or don’t feel like i need it anymore. But I get it done every three months, for my chronic migraines and I have many other places it gets injected.

My injector encouraged me to treat the underlying cause of TMJ ✨ anxietyyyy ✨ ( she still treated me with Botox) but it’s cheaper and better in the long run to figure out what’s causing your TMJ and treating that with a GP or specialist as well :) my jaws slimmed down now without the tox 👍🏼

Thanks for the update, I’m really weighing up if I get this or just stick with Physio for my TMJ because it’s so bad. I’m still so lost tho and am scared of the jowls

I got it once but I was older and instantly noticed the jowls so stopped. It will only get worse as you age so I would stop now if the jaw pain is bearable

I watched a video earlier about this. She said to get botox under the jaw bone as well and under the side of chin/jaw to help make the middle face work harder and help will lift that.

I’ve seen people getting Botox in the Platysmal Bands. Surely get it and let us know if it helped. I want to get Masseter Botox but don’t want jowls

This happened to me tooo and I stopped getting it done for 2 years and my masseter muscles have come back with a vengeance…. they’re quite literally bigger than ever! BUT no jowels anymore!!! 🤣 seems like we can’t win 🥲!

When I got mine I got tiny bits in my dao, chin and jaw to support my lower face while the masseter was weakened to minimise the effect! May not work for everyone but it was great for me and worth a chat with your nurse

My dr put it in my neck and lower face too. At the same time. I’m only 2 weeks after sooooo much pain but she looked at every muscle at the bottom of my face.

I have massive jaw muscles but I don’t have a snatched jawline 😭 I have had Botox for it a couple times sporadically so I didn’t notice anything too bad but I want to do it again but I’m scared of jowls etc. (I already have marionette lines)
