Arghhhhh!!!!! Eat Banana they said ! I ate so much banana God ! 😭😭 yet I failed this test in style 😭 It’s all fun and games when people talk about the struggle of getting a UK DRIVING LICENSE but nobody talks about how failing your first practical test shatters your confidence. I was so confident on my first test only to fail the test from the test centre!!! Literally 10 secs into the test !! But, the examiner let me finish the test. I could have saved both our time and gone back home 😭. When they read out my faults to my instructor, he said I have never done those faults before; turns out it was fear and anxiety the flipping banana didn’t work 😭 My second test was a different examiner, I did everything right, not a single minor fault only to fail at the last 2 seconds of the test . Yooooo I was fuming, I got back home and buried myself in blanket Anyway, I had the same examiner 3 times. 3 flipping times. He failed me the 2nd time we met for the opposite of the faults I had on our first encounter . The third time ? I drove what ever and somehow I passed 😂 the test I was least serious with was the one I passed. The figures I spent to get this license I’m not proud of, but oh well. For my last test, I had loads of protein ( granola and chicken ) and loads of fruit juice - I was told the sugar helps. Personal advise, you will never be fully ready for the test, take the test as many times as you can ( it’s way cheaper than paying instructors 45-50£ per hour) . There is no written rule to do the practical test once. You will become a better driver when you get your license, you only have to prove you are law abiding for 40 minutes of the test and you are fine. Have protein to help your concentration and Sugar for your reflexes. Communicate with your examiner, if he replies great-.
