It’s an AVID binder, but elementary friendly!! I’d love to see my district implement these!

Simple change to step it up a notch, we put "LEFT at home" and "Bring RIGHT back" on the pockets (with a home and school clipart, of course) to teach our kinders left and right as we use the binders throughout the year

Throw a skinny expo in their zipper pouch for them to practice their cursive on the sheet protector, with the guide in it! I also write their name at the top of a blank handwriting sheet, in cursive, a month or so in, and I put it in a sheet protector, so they can practice tracing and then writing it with their expo, and I try to write their spelling list in cursive for them to trace also!

I’ve used them for years. Make sure to slow down and follow an expectation that papers are clasped in. Otherwise, they shove papers in the cover and they get disorganized and lost.

I love this. So many kids, including mine, need this level instruction on how to build organizational habits! This is not only helping parents, it’s teaching students how to be organized!
