Carly Pearce says she has never canceled a concert — but there is one show she now believes she probably should have. During Entertainment Tonight’s “Sip or Spill,” the 36-year-old country star immediately remembered a performance from her 29 Tour in Washington, D.C. “I over-served myself,” Pearce admitted. She recalled realizing during the show, “Uh oh, this is not good.” But she still finished the performance. Pearce did not identify the exact date. However, she performed a 29 Tour concert at The Hamilton in Washington on Nov. 20, 2021. The Grammy winner also revealed another part of her past she now views differently: her song “Finish Your Sentences,” recorded with her former husband, Michael Ray. “That didn’t age well,” she joked. Pearce and Ray divorced in June 2020 after eight months of marriage. She later described that marriage as “a very big mistake.” She also shared a difficult dating story, saying she once went out with a man who became so “blackout Dr*nk” that she had to drive him home. When it was time to say goodbye, she said he pretended to receive a phone call — even though she could see there was no incoming call on his screen. Pearce is now focusing on her music. Her fifth studio album, “Honest Woman,” was released Aug. 28, and beginning Sept. 10, she is set to perform in smaller venues designed to bring her closer to fans.
