try living in France , it’s no different . I’m moving back to the uk after 7 years in France . They are all the same . Everything you describe happens in Europe . The UK is really no different .

hated the rain and cold in Manchester, been in Texas a year now and fell so much happier with sun nearly every day, friendly people and the place is kept nice ... you have anything nice in the UK and someone has to wreck it!

As an American, I can totally empathize with you. We are a bit luckier now with Trump, but I really feel how sad you are about everything.
