We stayed in an amazing airbnb literally steps away from Galata tower we intentionally didn’t want a hotel best decision we made LOVE LOVE LOVE INSTANBUL,, do your tourist attractions in 1 day, then just walk use the ferries visit Balat, Uskudar, Kadikoy, 7 days wasn’t enough ♥️

I just came back from Istanbul and I stayed at near Taksim square - Beyoglu. It was nice and near to the restaurants and other stuffs. However, they somehow gave me unreasonable prices for taxi prices. Also, for the public transport, I tried tramps but it stopped at the down and you need to climb upstairs to the taksim square. It was exhausting. Better options were buses. Otherwise, I love Istanbul! Especially, their foods are amazing. Now I am back to London with heavy rains. 😂😂

Istanbul price are now compare to London. City. This city is overwhelming expensive; the service doesn't match to the price at all.

I love beyoglu with all my heart but I hate istiklal. any time of the day I'd prefer a small street to the side than istiklal 😃

It’s the perfect neighborhood in Istanbul, but as you said it’s hilly , the roads can be so steep that you run out of breath, if you have stamina ….. it’s perfect!

I will recommend nisantasi which is a little further but less touristy. for even more local experience Besiktas is nice too

i’ve been to Istanbul four times, and Kadıköy is absolutely my favorite neighborhood to stay in, it’s cheaper, less touristy, I love it!
