If your mmr is a certain number(let’s say 5) then you can play with other plays within mmr points no matter what their actual rank is currently whether that is so here it’d be 1-10mmr. This is just an example the number aren’t accurate but when you go against those players on the lower mmr range and win you’re gonna gain less mmr bc it’s essentially a “test” and if you do poorly then you lose a lot of mmr. Its very convoluted and sry if that explanation doesn’t make the most sense I just am bad at explaining things via comments🧍🏼‍♂️

The game does a lot to see how you preform. The games your Reyna is smurfing the enemy team has players doing really well it’s not that you went down, it’s their mmr that’s high. You’re talking about mmr and you’re showing ranks, I don’t think you understood what mmr is beforehand

I assuuuuuume so they can see if u can carry them? But also someone on their team might have had a similar hidden MMR to you and effectively pitting u against each other, but that would be my best guess 😅 no actual clue
