IT'S A VERY SAD LETTER TO BAMBI. I see the song as a letter of reply to Bambi's wedding invitation. From the song, he's from a polygamous lineage. and had a leadership role that forced him into the polygamous corner. 'To run the jungle I must be a lion or a Cheetah' ...(lions and Cheetahs are polygamous)...he writes '..but neither is fine' )...it's obvious he didn't want to, but he had to accept this fate and reluctantly embrace the situation. it's his 'design' to continue with what his grandfather did. Bambi, his young-time sweetheart has been taken by another man who is wedding her soon, and she's sent him her wedding invitation but Mr Loverman can't take the pain because he's still in love with Bambi and can't accept the fact that someone is taking her forever. He writes in his letter that he wishes He and Bambi were forever young, where there would have been nothing like growing up to such adulthood responsibilities like taking a role that makes him choose between loving many (being polygamous) or loving one(rejecting that role and being with Bambi, the love of his life). Sad😢!!
