Richard is the mayor is the Deception books, and he as*aults Lia. Lia 💀 him and Adrian clears it up. That’s the connection. Lia isn’t the one who gasses Creigh as a baby though, that’s his own mother. It’s Asher & Reina who set up Creigh going over to Aiden, bc Asher is friends w Aiden. It’s very briefly mentioned across either the Throne duet or the Lies & Truths duet

deception trilogy has a scene where Adrian kills a Creightons dad hes like head of that homeless shelter where Lia was but in trilogy nothing was mentioned for Little Creighton, i hope you understand what i was trying to say because English isn't my first language

I don’t like spoiling books but I feel like you should be prepared that the next book will take place 6 years before that book it’ll be the story on how they got together the third book takes place right after the first one

They only mention Adrian un-aliving him but the whole saving the Creighton was brand new, never even knew he had a son until God of Pain. This is why it was such a big plot twist if you read it in order because where did that come from hahaha. Not to mention creighton is also a brand new character in the legacy of gods because in the Royal elite series Aiden and Elsa only had one son (Eli) so there’s literally no back story to him until we meet him in God of Pain when we find out he was adopted years later through Asher who’s friends with Aiden and that’s how everything got connected lol

Also keep in mind when the books were written and released. I’m sure when she wrote Deception she didn’t quite yet know how she was going to plot Creigh’s story. But at the same time, it wouldn’t have been as big of a reveal if we knew it already from the trilogy. So it could have been vague on purpose for us to draw the connection later. Rina is a genius though for being able to make everything so interconnected.

Honestly it was like a good twist but I hated that series 😂 if Adrian just told Lia a lot of stuff could have been avoided. And yes I had read it in the same order as you and was confused 🤣 the next series is THEEE BEST

Adrian mentions in passing that he got rid of the guy but there is NOTHING about them having a baby. It's so minute and glossed over, from what I remember, that it wasn't even on my radar.

I read the Desception trilogy first, which is my Roman Empire. No one can top Adrian for me. So when I read GOP and Creigh had this vendetta against Lia and other readers posted how could she had done it blah blah, I didn’t understand it. I didn’t get where his anger came from, again because I had already read the Deception trilogy and I knew exactly what had happened with his parents. IMO if anything he should be worshiping at the feet of the Volkovs because they saved him. That’s just me, that’s what I think. Long live the Volvoks 😂

It’s not really a part of the parents books that I recall. The Monsters trilogy…god tier books. It’s a trip plus Kirill especially on audio is🔥🔥🔥🔥

I think everyone else explained it, but Creigh blames Lia for offing her father but it was Adrian protecting his wife. Richard tried to a s s a u l t Lia when she was mentally unstable thinking she was Winter. Creighs bio mother tries to off them both but Adrian saves his life and puts him with the right people to get him adopted to the Kings. Creighton never knew the whole story and based his revenge on his perception of what he remembered, not facts.
