they name it like that because Charleroi is famous for being even a bigger shithole than Brussels, nobody with a healthy mind would consider going to Charleroi to start their holiday 😂

It’s not that far if you look at the distances in other countries… for example fly to Rome airport, it would still take you 30-40 min to go to the city of Rome

Brussels Airport = Company, main airport: Brussels (Zaventem), Brussels Airport South is just company+South cuz its their "South" Airport. They have the rights to the name Brussels Airport therefor use it 🤷♂️

it's the same for all of those small airports, mostly where Ryanair flies to. You want to land in Paris too, don't you? and Barcelona, Madrid, London etc. yet the airports for Ryanair lie an hour out at best
