My advice to young men: (1) learn to master a skill that will be in demand for the next 30 years that likely won’t be impacted by AI; (2) learn to carry the mental load in and outside of relationships; (3) strive to be the healthiest you can be. This all requires hard work and time. Do these things and other parts of your life will fall into place. Balance.

Okay, a lot of the loneliness of men is self inflicted (not respecting women, not working on themselves to be a better person, not having more empathy) but there is also a big part of it where it’s entirely society’s fault. Boys have been told ever since they were able to talk, that they had to grow up to be men. And that meant being as far away from a women as you could be. That means showing too much empathy, feeling vulnerable, etc. were all “too feminine” to be a man. This causes men to not respect women because that was the image they were told to never be as a kid. They’re told that they need to be the provider, to have kids, to have their wife do the housework, to make more money than their wife if she is even working, to buy a big house (which isn’t 900k btw), and all of these “rules” just add to men not being emotionally ready to date a woman or be desirable to a woman. Women don’t WANT that stuff. A lot don’t want kids, a lot don’t care about your salary as long as you can support yourself, a lot want to work and strive for a career she went to college for, and A LOT are scared of men because they would rather become violent and entitled than put in work to become a better partner and man emotionally rather than keep their mindset from when they grew up

I can’t speak for all women, but it’s not about the material/financial aspect of it for so much as it is about the basic foundation of a healthy connection: respect, communication, honesty, consideration and romance. I can take care of myself, just expect my partner to be able to take care of themselves as well; this economy is rough for everyone 😌
