Honestly i really hope to go in a small town in texas , for 2 reasons: 1 is similar where i live rn in italy 2 i wanna know the “true” culture , the small things, the things that normally remain unseen

I was expecting to be placed in like a small town in texas on a farm because my agency told me it’s very likely and kinda prepared for that and actually was excited for that, then I ended up on one of the most beach vacation spots, HHI. I’m definitely not disappointed but so not what i expected but I got a great host fam and people there and I couldn’t be happier

Are you guys allowed to give your exchange students extra chores (aside from the normal ones), and in return give them money for it. Eks: They get $20 for mowing the lawn or something like that?🩵 - Also are the students allowed to have a part time job?🥰
