See below for all the deets 🐟⬇️ 🫶 Follow @whatericacraves for more local food content One of the most consistently mentioned poke spots here in San Diego has to be Hawaiian Fresh Seafood (@themarkethfs) and while I had tried it several years ago, I had to go back and see what everyone was talking about. They do have multiple locations, but I've heard the Flanders Dr. location is the best. I saw their Poke Nachos going viral a while back, and I am a sucker for a wonton chip so Poke Nachos ($19) it was. I also grabbed a spam musubi ($4) for my husband, and a Ube Mochi Cookie ($6 i think?) from Caked. I chose the Shoyu Ahi for my poke and I got both the spicy mayo & eel sauce on the side. First of all, the portion is HUGE. If you think $19 sounded expensive for fresh fish, think again because it can be easily shared by two people and the fish was definitely melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The spam musubi was also made-to-order and super delicious. Their spicy mayo was actually spicy, but I will say it's less creamy than typical spicy mayos. I do love that ube mochi cookie, but mostly because I love the mochi texture. It doesn't have too much flavor to it since Ube is pretty delicate. Overall, I totally understand why people LOVE this place. Great option for super fresh poke.
