How do you know when to pick them if they’re still green? Because I have some green ones that look a lot like yours, they’re big but they’re still quite hard?

Careful with the knife. If you pass it over ceramic, you'll totally blunt it. Ceramic is the stone that's used to sharpen knives in the first place.

they look fantastic. my tomatoes are still very green haplyily growing still. my potatoes and shallots are ready and have been harvested. chillis have just started to flower
