Stanford prison experiment was highly exaggerated and they've never been able to replicate the results stated. however the mouse utopia experiment should be on here.

about the little albert experiment, it was said they planned on reversing his phobias of furry objects, but little albert sadly passed at a very young age

No mention of the Tuskegee experiment? That’s a bit more shameful than some of these

with little Albert, it was in the studies plans to reverse the conditioning they did but his mother pulled him out of the study before they could do so (rightfully so but its incorrect to say there were no attempts to reverse the conditioning)

The milgram experiment didn’t go wrong. That was the point in the experiment to see if people would kill simply by following orders. Milgram told every participant once experiment was complete they did not kill anyone. He done check ups weeks months and even years after the study. Milgram is the reason for ethics and for check ups after certain experiments.

The remarkable thing about the Stanford prison experiment is that, when zimbardo was calling it off, he asked a fellow professor what he would do with the prisoners. Completely forgetting that not long before they were simply student volunteers... *thats* the bigger statement.

The Stanford experiment also explains why people in power often behave abusive even if they weren’t before. That includes policemen, fathers, leaders of countries etc.

The little Albert experiment was meant to traumatize the child. The entire intent was for them to use pavolov conditioning to see just how young the mind actually can be conditioned at.

With baby Albert they actually used a white rabbit(something cute and innocent). It was sad to watch that little kid get terrified of a rabbit. They would put the rabbit near him and when he went to touch it, someone would jump out and scare him. (Keep in mind Albert was only like 2/3yrs old at the time)

im not sure if anyone has said this yet but im surprised the experiment with the triplet brothers was not on here. It was highly unethical, and only exposed when the brothers found out. And im not sure if you’d count the result as going wrong but definitely couldve been avoided in my opinion

The Stanford Prison Experiment was actually rigged, the guards were encouraged to be abusive of their power towards the "prisoners". The experiment (if done right) could've yielded different results but unfortunately because of the original testing going so wrong we'll never be allowed to know
