I would also encourage ppl who want natural births to discuss in detail what they want with their provider and have some foundational knowledge from reputable medical sources about what a natural birth is and what constitutes an emergency and what the options are. There seems to be confusion about what pitocin is and why it's used. I almost watched a patient and her baby die bc she was adamant about a natural birth but needed interventions to prevent that outcome and got her sources from random articles or God knows where else. The difference here is that she sought care later in her pregnancy and didn't have that important discussion with her provider so that they could have a conversation about what is medically necessary and when. Find a provider who can help. Mistrust in medicine doesn't improve outcomes. Though I understand why the mistrust is there.

Just wanna say I had a natural birth and it was life changing. I highly recommend at the very least learning more about it. 10/10 would do it again
