I know many won’t agree but we are loosing writers like Mark who write stuff in genre they love. All of his DW scripts you can see his love for the gothic or Victoria adventure serials or references points & parodying certain things

You shouldn't be aiming it for a specific group. You should just make it good for everyone. Because it's currently abysmal. And the ratings prove it. Force feeding THE MESSAGE is now so boring. The last Dr cried in every episode & the previous Dr was dressed like a playschool presenter.

Mark should stop defending his friends when the writing simply wasn’t up to scratch. But don’t tell people they’re grumpy because people don’t like the fact the writing is sub-par. That’s really disingenuous.

This is a good point that I agree with in principle but the last few series have had very inconsistent writing and felt rushed, muddled and shallow. Love all the so-called woke elements, so it’s not that at all. IMO best series was 9. Middle of Capaldi’s run, still with Clara, all two-parters, character arcs, philosophical stories about ethical questions.

its not for you anymore? Everything this man said is pure rubbish. A show should be able to please the old fans that are loyal , keep casual fans and attract new fans. If the writing is pandering to a certain demo than its bad writing and alienation of the fans that gave the ahow enough ratings and popularity to give the show the liberties it has now.
