my grandpa was 6'3 at his peak and when he died in his 80's he was 5'8, I think tall people just shrink when they age as well

My grandpa was over 6’2 and he lived past 90 yo he had a very healthy lifestyle, he lived in the country side away from technology and worked until his last day as a sheppard.

Gigantism can be fixed nowadays with a relatively simple surgery on the pituitary gland, Robert Wadlow wouldn’t have grown that tall had he born in the modern day

there's a guy in my town who apparently at one point was 7"2 and the tallest man in the country, he's now probably around late 70s or so and is very hunched over and needs a walking stick to get around
