Maybe don’t word it like that. That seems like you’re untrusting and looking for something. I just say “babe where’s your phone I need to use it” and his response is “here” and ands it to me or “over there”. Granted I’ve never “gone through it” I have access to it whenever and vice versa. I’ve never had him react in a way that made me feel like I should actually go through it so 🤷🏻♀️

I remember before I got an iPhone, I asked my ex if I could fuck around on his iPhone to get the feel of it - to decide if I like it. And he got so defensive and weird about it and told me no. I should have realized right then lol
