The CGI is done so well in Jurassic Park that I often forget they used CGI at all and remember them using only practical effects. The practical effects and CGI effects are blended to perfection. Jurassic Park is in a league of its own.

the fact that the studio told him he had too finish work on Jurassic park before they would allow him to fully work schindler’s list and quoted it as being a living hell between changing between cgi dinosaurs and the atrocities of the holocaust, all too go on to win every oscar that year for both films, pure cinema

I wouldn't mind CGI if they actually tried to hide that it was cgi instead of having that weird wet like filter on it they need to work on making it look less shiny and more matte
