last year I turned 66 feeling burnt out working full time. with a couple of health issues I decided to retire while I could still do things. I now feel happy healthier and fitter. I'm not well off but really life really is too short

I used to love my job but am 60 in Nov and feel burnt out. I am hoping to work part time but as a single person I can’t afford to retire yet. I dream of a new life and resent every day at work.

I call it Sunday scaries. I have been for the last 4.5 years clearing out the junk from my work email once on Saturday and once on Sunday. I got caught and written up for “working” off the clock. I told my boss, listen- here’s the deal. If you want me to be fresh and ready for my day Monday, you’ll let me do what I need to do. If it’s clearing freaking auto fired junk emails to ease my brain and anxiety, you should welcome it. I don’t consider it “work”.

A lot of us can relate, I used to get physically ill thinking about one particular job I had. Was NOT a good fit for me. I really try to take Sunday as a day for me. Which sounds like you do that. Need to prepare and get in the mindset. In every week a Monday must fall right. How much vacation time do you get in the UK?
