People don’t realize that there’s high enough quality meat that it’s essentially edible raw. Almost like sushi grade.

Wether you like it or not it’s a legitimate dish and a staple in French cuisine that has been eaten for decades, with good high quality fillet and eggs there is little to no risk of food poisoning. Understandable this isn’t to say recreate this with your £6 Lidl rump steak but it’s by no means a weird or abnormal dish
