I've been single my whole life, for 29 years. I've done everything by myself. I've graduated law school, I've got my dream job. I don't feel powerful! I feel extremely lonely and unlovable. But I agree, when you have to do it alone, you'll find a way.

I have my own mortgage, I work full time, I go to the gym, i take myself on solo holiday, I have such good friends, what is a man going to bring to my life. Thats why I’m staying single!

My parents never allowed me to socialize with boys or men until I finished university and moved out to start my first 9-to-5 job and live on my own. Sometimes I forget that I’ve never dated. I am so thankful my parents made that decision because now I am the best version of myself. I don’t seek validation from men. I love myself, and my space is only open to a man who loves me even more than I love myself which is almost impossible, and that’s okay because I won’t be settling.

i totally agree! i’m in a relationship now but i genuinely don’t think that relationship would’ve come near me if i hadn’t got comfortable being single and doing my thing, finding and forgiving myself. being single and falling in love with yourself is the biggest super power xx
