Bring 2L of water to a boil, stir in the bicarbonate of soda, and briefly boil each pretzel for 20-30 seconds. Place the boiled pretzels on a lined baking tray, brush with egg wash and bake at 200°C for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown. While the pretzels are still hot, brush them generously with melted butter and coat them in cinnamon sugar. For the chocolate sauce, heat the cream until simmering, pour it over the chopped chocolate, and stir until smooth and glossy. Serve the pretzels warm with the rich chocolate sauce for dipping. These cinnamon-sugar-coated treats with their silky chocolate accompaniment are perfect for sharing or keeping all to yourself!
