Headcanon that i stole from someone: taph is actually jim from Jim's computer underneath the cloak. He's mute bc jim sh0t himself from what looks like the jaw, making taph unable to talk once he got forsakened. And in Jim's computer, jim was boarding up his house like taph was hiding himself.

I love how in the beginning sort of shows how Taph had been waiting for the safety he needed from the people protesting against the actions he took by doing the job he was assigned to, and how in the upcoming scenes it’s a protestor assuming horrible things about a person who was only doing what the person he admired so deeply, Builderman, told him to. Lowkey I don’t really mind much about taph in game but his lore is horrifying. Imagine just doing your job that you were assigned, just to be hated on and presumably killed by said people that hate you, waiting for any type of comfort and or protection. ☹️
