As event designers and planners, my mom and I are always helping others celebrate special moments in their lives — so any time we can take a moment to celebrate each other is truly a blessing. Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at Ray’s Resort 🏨🏖️ Personalized Touches:
✨ GIFT SHOP – One thing about my mom: she loves a good gift shop. I picked up some of the items from Marshalls and Dollar Tree. We stocked it with eye masks, magazines, candy, toiletries, and more.
✨ BRANDED COCONUTS – I designed the logo on Canva and ordered a personalized brander from Etsy. We grabbed the coconuts from Stop & Shop!
✨ SUMMER OF 60– From the welcome sign to cups, posters, and luggage tags, I designed everything on Canva. Super easy to use — then we had most of the items printed via Etsy and Staples.
✨ POOL BAR – Not shown in the video, but we hired bartenders for our poolside Sippin Sixty Smoothie bar!
✨ OTHER DETAILS – To complete the resort experience, we played poolside games. I took my role as “Resort Manager” very seriously — name tag and all 😂. I made sure to greet every single guest with a welcome speech. And if someone snuck in before I saw them, trust me, I tracked them down to give them the full welcome! It’s all in the little touches ☺️
