As a gay woman who grew up IBLP my only concern with him potentially being gay is the fact that in that religion many gay men will marry a woman to honor God and then the woman never feels truly loved. It’s problematic. But I agree I will not assume. I hope they are both happy.

Actually for people living within these circles making assumptions about someone’s perceived preferences can be extremely dangerous. Even if they didn’t already think that of them, if someone in their local circle realized the public thought that of them it can cause them to react in an extremely dangerous way. People need to refrain from making ANY public assumptions in that manner about those who live within these groups.
