The amount of times I’ve called a parent to say their kid punched someone and the response is “no they didn’t”. I’m sorry I was here, and you weren’t how do you know more than me?

I will email or teacher late at night but started with you. do not have to get back to me anytime soon.
mostly because I have ADHD and if I don't do it when it's on my brain I will forget to email.

My child told me had time out I felt horrible messaging the teacher and asking. And made sure to clearly state I wasn’t mad if he was just that I wanted to make sure we didn’t have behaviors we needed to work on at home.

When I say my child doesn’t do that at home it’s in regard to when he listens and follows the rules.😅 I love teachers and will forever be grateful to them!!❤️❤️❤️

What would you do if your child would come home bitten? Few times in two week for example. Teachers would always inform about it, say what happened, tend to it, but they have problem with stopping the biter.

I've made the my child doesn't do that at home comment but it was in regards to naps and trying new foods at lunch. Peer pressure is a crazy thing

Unfortunately I’ve had co workers threaten to lie about what a kid has done or said. I’ve also had them lie about me ,so I may not always believe the teacher . But I do hope to have a kid who tells the truth, even when it means they did something wrong. I hope my kid will take responsibility and accountability for their actions. Will I say “my child doesn’t do that at home.” Idk it’ll depend on the situation.

I love this! although for the email thing, send the email at your convenience, even if it's at 3am. the teacher will answer it at their convenience. they dont need to be on their email at 3am just bc you are!

Bonus one: believe my child over the teacher. I cannot tell you how many time I’ve been met with an angry email starting with ‘well, sally said that…’. Sally’s got something to lose 😭

I did have to pull my kid from daycare at 2yo bc he kept coming home with too many bruises & injuries in places that didn’t seem accidental…turns out he was being pushed around by the bigger kids & teachers didn’t think it was important to let Director or any of the parents know what was happening.

I never do those either with my 3 yr old’s teachers at daycare. I know how my daughter behaves so when they tell me she was using a stuffy to hit people I know they’re not lying. I also used to work with two of her teachers so I know that they don’t make things up either. I do just ask “hey what happened” when she has a cut or bruise:

1. What can I do at home to reinforce how you’re correcting that at school? We haven’t seen them do that yet but I’d like to get ahead of it/help.

The only time I ever told the teacher, my child doesn’t do that at home was when she told me that she, my kid likes to stay after class and make sure everything is in its proper place.
