I’m interviewing people right now and someone was “we”ing too much and it just made me question if they know how to do the job, or if they just know how someone else at that company set it up to do the job.

Every company is different. If interviewing at AWS, it’s all about you, not the team, but at Microsoft, they are looking for team collaboration specifically. When you don’t know, start with what your strategy was and how your team or cross functional team executed on your strategy.
