My soon to be ex husband says I’m brainwashing my teenage children. They can see exactly what’s going on and he wants me to lie to them so he looks better. They can see who’s right and wrong, they are living it too. He is not being accountable for the amount he’s betrayed not just me but his kids.

Betrayers are generally very good at manipulation. Of course it hurts the entire family. The kids AND spouse were “casually disregarded” when the cheater dropped their drawers for someone else.

So true. In my case there was no betrayal we just grew apart and decided to divorce after 42 years of marriage my adult children struggled. Neither of us has remarried after 12 years and my sons still mourn the family unit. So sad.

My perception is the narrative is twisted or at least ignored by my adult daughters. They think their father is perfect even though they know the truth. And each day goes on as if my pain is invisible. It’s soul crushing.

Well my adult children lied for my husband their father to cheat on me . Covered for him so that he could stay at a casino for days and nights on end because they worked together in another state. Never would admit what they did, swept it under the rug and made me the villain and estranged me from my grandchildren to protect themselves and their father.

My kids felt betrayed cause they thought they knew him and trusted him and now feel they can’t they also said they probably can’t trust anyone if they can’t trust him and y didn’t he think of them at all

When I found out my dad had an affair I was devastated. It was a huge shock after nearly 50yrs of being married to my mum. It was an awful time, supporting my mum but also trying to accept his betrayal. Whilst they were going through their divorce. I discovered my husband had cheated and fathered a child with his side piece. Another betrayal. Staying strong and in control for my 3 children was the biggest test of my life.
