had my extraction today, drank 24 oz of pineapple juice the night before, no swelling so far, barely any pain, and the anesthesia worked better than i expected it to

It really helped me! I had drank 12 litres before the surgery and kept drinking after! Maybe you needed to drink it before the surgery to get the full effect! Hope it gets better soon tho x

to be honest, if you really want to know its affects on your healing, ask your surgeon, everyone is different! but i asked mine, and he said it really doesn’t make a difference

You would have to drink a HUGE amount of pineapple juice for it to actually have a big impact. It’s more helpful in just making sure you’re hydrated before surgery which can help speed recovery.
