@jessicainskip: Stock order types explained! In this video, I’m explaining the difference between a market order and a limit order. In part 2, we talk about a stop loss and trailing stop loss. Remember, everything is in its name. A market order means: execute at the best price the market has to offer righ now, this is found on the bid and ask and is also known as the NBBO. A limit order guarantees price, but not execution, you are putting a limit in the price you are will to buy or sell at. This is for informational and educational purposes only! Comment your questions and what you want me to explain next!

Using a market order is like walking into a jewelry store and saying, "I want that diamond ring—doesn’t matter the price, just give it to me now." You might overpay, but you’ll get it instantly. I'm trying here. it's really difficult for me to get past this.

You don’t have the series 24 but this is covered in that exam not on the series 66 or the seven. Are you an MBA in CFA as well?

I think I take the opposite perspective. For a stock with low volume, I might have to do a market order. however, for a stock like Apple, I'll do a limit order because there's a better chance of hitting it
