as a car Salesman this is partly true. but I do think that SOME warranties are worth the money especially if you want to maintain a nice working car. :)

Just bought a used Jeep and they offered me a 17% apr I said no my credit union had a better rate. Ended up at 14% through Stellantis and haven’t made my first payment yet and already refinancing with My Credit Union at 8%

I would love to know more about the finance part. Can they ever get below factory rate? When is a warranty a good buy? (on new or used) If I'm buying a Honda/Toyota why would you ever want to buy additional warranty? What is too large of a down payment? (when you should consider gap vs not getting gap)
