people. you guys don’t know anything about the difference between a cult and religion. specifically christianity. 1, God WAS and IS questioned today. Doubting Thomas is a disciple of Jesus Christ, and he questioned him. He only met Christ after his cruxifixction and didn’t believe it until he seen the nail prints of Jesus hands and feet, and once he saw there was, he yelled proudly “My Lord! My God!”. 2, us Christians do believe Christ is the truth. But, we do not label believers of other religions as toxic or lost, maybe spiritually yes, but labeled as toxic for the simple fact of belief is just wrongful judgement. plus, there is a in between. Lukewarm Christian’s. 3, the Bible is pretty much our main source of information of our loving God and things that challenged Christianity has been answered for numerous centuries and has been answered truthfully. 4, christian’s are taught by Jesus to love one another and to love everyone including your enemies. Therefore, it is not necessary to isolate yourself and you can still be friends with others with different beliefs, unless you feel personally attacked for your faith. 5, you choose to either go to heaven or hell. You don’t want eternal peace, light and love? fine, you can go to a place with no peace, light or love, and that is what essentially hell is, the absence of God. 6, yes, we believe Christ is the truth, but that’s because of personal faith and what we were taught he did for our sins. Cults on the other hand, is when there is an alive leader, and is basically a branch of religions, for example, peoples temple, they did mainstream christian traditions but twisted it in its own twisted way, which lead to the death of everyone there. i hope this helped you guys understand why Christianity isn’t a cult and know the difference between a cult and religion.
