I’m in HR and I can tell you, Id MUCH rather hire an older person than a younger one. More reliable, less “triggered,” not entitled…the list goes on.

If you’re over 50, drop any job pre-2000 job from your resume, maybe pre-2005. Age aside, no one cares what you did 30 years ago. Don’t list the year when you graduated. Just pretend to have roughly 20 years of experience around 45. Don’t lie but don’t broadcast you’re 50+.

only put 10 years of history on your resume. don't put your graduation year. keep the resume to 1.5 max pages. speak in short concise sentences. if you spent 10 years at 1 company you're in for a long ride.
