So much easier now a days since so many sensors can be changed in their settings. Used to be so specific and harder to keep spares

I have a question, I have a training PLC with Allen Bradley I have output modules with light, but I always have light on on the output. I always have 40V, but I turn in the out I got 120. What I need to keep light off when output is disable.

I understand what you are saying. let's assume you're starting from scratch. why would you choose pnp over npn? No cards installed yet.

The reason behind this is the flow of current. The sensor that produces the current is the source and the receiver of the current is the sink.
