Take it from someone who was in the industry for years and sits on the board of PRS and has experienced the highs and lows of this dangerous rhetoric. 1) Make or write your own music 2) upload it to the streaming sites 3) stay true to yourself and put in the graft and be prepared to play for 2 drunk blokes in a pub 4) be vocal with your fans and keep them with you on the journey 5)a&r’s will pick you up .. forget any other way.. trust me on this. I believe these signs wouldn't be an issue if you love making music. The people I've seen that complain and make excuses are the ones that thought it was a get rich quick scheme. If you have a genuine passion for music you won't run into any of these obstacles. Love the video! 🙏🏾

i disagree with the point about only posting music when it’s ‘good enough.’ people subconsciously compare your new work to your old work when evaluating how ‘good’ your music is. let them watch you improve, there’s never a ‘good’ time to release music
