Taxi rides were insane around Rome!! I couldn’t believe all the Vespa working in and out everywhere, made me so nervous! We didn’t see any acccidents but how often do accidents happen?

I lived in Milan for over three years, and not once did I even consider driving - much less take a scooter. As you know, Italian traffic signals are suggestions, at best.

Ngl ive had the opposite experience in Rome with crossing. They always stop no matter what. Sometimes I forget to look both ways and don’t have to worry because they always stop. I think it’s way better there than in America

crossing the street in Rome just takes confidence. They will stop if they see you. But if you second guess yourself and cant decide to go or not, they will just keep driving. Been there several times and cross the multiple lane street at the national monument with no trouble
